CHAGOS CONSERVATION TRUST
The CD Images of the Chagos Archipelago contains over 500 photographs of this island group. The photographs are collected into different categories (e.g. maps and aerial photos, the old settlements, birds, plants, expeditions, marine life, shores) and each has a short descriptive caption. One category focuses on the important Diego Garcia atoll and its military development, another on the known science of this group of atolls. The photographs span the period from plantation settlement days to the present time, with pictures provided by many dedicated people who have visited or lived there since the mid-1960's. For information on the islands, or just as a "screen saver" with automatically rotating images, this CD illustrates a wonderful group of islands.
